Mastercard has tipped its hand for plans in the Metaverse by filing 15 trademarks for its brand name, indicating plans for:

• Processing virtual cards

• Holding entertainment & education services in the Metaverse

• Creating a marketplace for digital assets that are authenticated by NFT’s

Clearly, Mastercard see’s an opportunity in the Metaverse and are trying to get in in the early stages to capture growth.
